Does the job perfectly, but feels/looks awkward.

Samsung's decision to not include an HDMI port on its tabs but rather sell HDMI adapters separately is a tad questionable, but ultimately connecting your tab to your TV with a wire already sounds like trouble so if you are here I suppose you are the market for this kind of function. I am glad to say that this dongle works exactly as you expect it to work. Connect everything how it should and you'll be watching your tablet's content in full HD glory on your TV or whatever else you connect it to. This dongle is supposed to work with the newer generation of Samsung tabs starting with the Tab7.0Plus, the 8.9, 7.7 and 10.1. Be aware of this before you proceed. I tested it with the 7 Plus and it works perfectly well. And its a Samsung official product that has that nice quality feel. Its not cheap looking or anything like that.
So whats the catch? Well.. here's the thing. To make this dongle work you need to connect it to your tab, then connect your tab's power cord to the dongle and on the other end to a power source (without this it will not work), and then of course the HDMI cable from the dongle to the TV. So here you are holding your tablet with a dongle and two more wires of different weight and lenght dangling from it. Of course if you are planning to display anything on your TV from your tab you are not going to be moving it around right? But then again, the tablet is also where you control its functions so you do have to reach to it and tap things and stuff. So its a semi awkward thing, specially with the power cord being so extremely short. (this may force you to connect it to an extension cable, yet another wire to hang from it)
So this is a weird and uncomfirtable design issue that, while not necessarily a deal breaker, makes me wonder is Samsung really couldn't do any better than this. Because it seems like the could have. But other than that, the adapter works as intended and you should eventually find a way to make its use comfortable.

Good product, although very expensive. Does what it says and the Galaxy Tab puts out beautiful HD. Needs to have power cable plugged into it as well, so it creates a weird wires in different directions scenario, but still good.
