5Charge station gets five stars
By michael cast
Okay, I had this gang plug and a HUGE ball of wires beside my bed. THREE device chargers, lamp, radio, etc...it was making my OCD go off big time! Fumbling for cables in the Dark. Is that my cell phone charger, or lap top? ARG! There has to be a better way!...I found it. This charge station got rid of all that mess. One wire (as big around as your finger) for all three of my devices. Now everything is neat and easy to get to. Very powerful. Charges all devices very quickly, even at the same time. I was amazed. Everything is now surge protected (a big worry every time a thunderstorm came through) there's a cradle for my tablet so that it sits upright for the alarm clock app I use at night. It is grounded, and as hefty as the wiring is, I felt safe plugging all those devices in. It's just a great cure for a big problem...now, how many out there has this big, hazardous wad of wires by your night stand? Well, here you go. I studied all kinds of power pads, docks, and plugs. But they all missed one feature or another. I am so far very happy with my choice.

Great surge protector, charges my iPhone, iPad4 and Android phone at the same time, plus the convient built in stand is nice when I am watching a movie on my iPad and geting sleepy, just roll on my side and watch it on my night stand.

3Looks good - but has an annoying hum
By Chris R
As a person who hates cables cluttering up his desk - this charging station is excellent. It neatly sits on the desktop providing access to both 3prong power and USB-power outlets. The great thing about it is it will hold your iPad or other tablet effectively hiding the power strip behind it.

Not so good....
The design of the ipad dock does not allow you to charge in portrait - you need to flip it to landscape and use a cable plugged into one of the USB-power outlets.
There is an annoying hum from the unit - but I have discovered this is only there when you dock an iPad with on of the Apple magnetic closing covers. Which suggests the magnets in the cover are messing around with the internal workings of the unit. I have removed the cover and replaced the clutter of cables with the clutter of covers!!
