Samsung tablets have no options when connecting to a HDTV. That being said, you just plug this adapter into an HDMI cable and your tablet (plus you need the tablet's charging cable) and that's it.
You can't change the resolution if your TV has a different aspect ratio, but it looks very nice. The Galaxy Note 10.1 in particular can output a full 1920x1080. It leaves small black bars on the top and bottom of my TV because of the aspect ratio difference. Outputs directly what is on your screen. I found a slight "skipping"/lagging while playing games, movies run very fluidly however.
All-in-all it is very easy to use and works great. I recommend waiting until it is on sale to buy it (because it occasionally does go on sale).

Nice product, great for hd gaming and presentations, or just showing off your gallery pics i would recommend this to a friend!

for netflix to display from my tablet while on the road I picked this up, the problem though is you may need to adjust the aspect ratio on your TV for the signal that is getting transmitted from the tablet. If you can make that change (most can but unfornately not all) then this product is flawless and its for that reason its lacking a fifth star
